if the first peek at spring ain’t poetic, i don’t know what is… so a few poetry chapbook must-haves (run don’t walk! or i should say type! don’t hunt and peck!) to start your season off right:
- Impatiens, by pwadj (trust me, folks; this is the goods)
- For the Willing, kristin berger (remember back when…before binding…)
- Japanese for Daydreamers, judy halebsky (ahhh, my old schoolmate who played along when i started “
drunkbar poetry” night; my copy has just arrived!)
:: inspiring happy
this lemur • do this with radicchio (thanks, m!) • domestic spaces/human traces
:: wanting
picnic basket wedges • sun t-straps • orange rolls (whoopsied on the “no sweets” over these; oh and the chocolate fountain… saturday was a total sweets-free bust)
:: watching & reading
the darjeeling limited • extended sex in the city trailer • new stuff here

you are kind to mention me. Judy’s book is awesome.
I saw The Darjeeling Limited over the weekend, too. What did you think about it? So many muddy things were made clear at the end that I feel like I should watch it again. (I’m being vague in case you haven’t finished watching it!)
okay, okay, i haven’t actually WATCHED the darjeeling limited yet. i did sleep through the entire thing, including the opening credits, though. it’s on the agenda for this week.
Thanks, Sheri, for the plug! I’m not sure how it all came together, somehow while my children were sleeping. I love the site, especially the nest.
Betsy: I finally watched The Darjeeling Limited the other day. Loved it. Loved the brothers’ sweet, odd relationships and all the quirkiness. Loved the colors. Loved it.
I did, however, watch the short film after the movie cause I didn’t know it was there until my husband told me. Didn’t seem to do me any harm though.
