Hey, thanks for the shout out!

I finally realized that I can’t watch the baby eagles all day because I will lose my job. So I open the webcam and minimize the window and just listen to all the great outdoorsy sounds.

I love your article in Edible Sac, too! You made your anxiety so real that I started having heart palpitations right along with you — although, I live my life on the brink of a panic attack, so it just takes a little poke to send me over the edge!

LOVE the Momnivore’s Dilemma column!! Thought you might like this piece that I wrote about food and anxiety, http://www.divinecaroline.com/article/32/36964. And if you do decide in a moment of weakness and insanity and utter frustration at the sight of another fried item to overhaul your school lunch system, give me a call. i’m in the mist of doing just that in my town, and it ain’t easy – but i’m meeting a lot of great people along the way! cheers – jkn

Great column — congratulations! I’ve been doing my own investigation into school lunches here. New York City actually has a comparatively good program, though there’s plenty of room for improvement. I got so into it I pitched a local magazine a story and I’m interviewing some school food people here. We’ll see how it goes, but it’s funny to see how it’s on people’s minds from coast to coast!

But if you changed the school lunch program, you’d have no reason to invest in one of those cool bento lunch box thingies! So you may as well leave the nasty hot dog things in place and practice consumerism instead, right? Wait, maybe not.

Thanks for the bald eagle cam! We watch these bird cams too: http://watch.birds.cornell.edu/nestcams/home/index
