i used to get paid to write this blog, which started as the Little Zygote That Could, but now that it’s happinest, i don’t. not sure if that makes it a better read now or a worse one. you decide.

Every morning I start the day by reading the New York Times. I have done this every day for the last fifteen years. Recently I turned thirty and finally (slow learner) realized that this it is horrible to greet the morning with news of tragedies and human cruelty. I decided to search for blogs that could give me daily updates of things to be grateful for in this life, and thankfully I immediately discovered your pretty, happy blogs. I also make lists in my head of the little pretty gems I discover in a day and your blogs make me want to paint them all over the house, the street, the town buildings.
Today’s thing to be grateful for: hand embroidery
Thanks,
Kate
